Aussie Ahoy

We apologise profusely for the long time between drinks (updates!) We have no excuse (other than travelling, working and life being generally busy!) So, grab yourselves a drink, sit back and enjoy the read……
December 2005

It has been nearly 2 years since we left Perth. We thought it best be home time for a visit! So much has happened within our friends and family lives that we wanted to drop in and catch up! After getting Narelle’s work permit organised (thanks to the NHS Gloucestershire Trust!) we are guaranteed to be able to get back into the UK.

We departed London and after a quick stop in Singapore (time for a shower courtesy of the Rainforest Lounge!) we flew into Melbourne
at 500am on Christmas morning. Thanks to Uncle Tony who picked us up at such an ungodly hour!

We rested for a couple of hours before heading off with the rest of the Barker clan to Andrew and Jen’s place for Christmas Lunch. It was so wonderful to see everyone there again and we embarrassed ourselves completely with our performance of the original Barker British Christmas Pantomime.[photopress:P1010520.JPG,thumb,alignleft]

Thanks to Anna and John for the peaceful serenity of their Brighton home – it was lovely to be able to relax before our flight to Perth. We lunched with Uncle Des and had dinner with our dear friend Trevor. Great to catch up with you both![photopress:P1010529.JPG,thumb,alignright]

Over to Perth – where we wined and dined our way through groups of friends and relatives. We met new boyfriends, saw new houses, met new babies, saw wedding photos, became a godmother, frequented the beach and really enjoyed all your company – just like old times! Thanks to Mum and Dad (Lark) who we stayed with –although it feels like we barely saw them! Hope you and the Barkers enjoyed your Christmas present![photopress:P1010554.JPG,thumb,alignleft]

A lovely relaxing 4 days in Bridgetown before heading back to London – via a two night stopover in Singapore (thanks again to Anna and John for their hospitality in Singapore too!)
